I only nurse 13-month-old Gunner about 3 or sometimes 4 times a day now, mainly in the morning and at bedtime, so it no longer often occurs in public. Today I was at Starbucks and he started asking for milk, so I nursed him. As you can see, it is fairly discrete, even though I have not thrown a blanket over his head. I have often nursed my son at this coffee shop because they have a nice comfy couch in the back, and I have never been harassed or had people give me dirty looks, stare, or leer, etc. I have become a loyal Starbucks customer because their shop is nursing-friendly!

Ive never touched a woman's breasts and then had her reply "No! You must not enjoy my breasts!" I've had them grab my hand and firmly plant it directly ON their breasts however. Don't cheapen them. Allow them to be the special things they are. I respect your perspective though, there is an imbalance in how nutritious milk is and how important breastfeeding is. There'd be no need for that perspective without the enjoyment though. Other cultures theyre no big deal.

Even in other cultures where western men's appreciation of breasts seem strange. Coupling between them and western males probably (Not saying doesn't) would not end with the woman (who may not wear tops) completely making the breasts off limits to the man. : ) It's just silly to think that. If it's just mammary gland, then there is no nipple, no skin, less blood flow, less nerve endings and harder to feed. The breast is all things considered. Not NPR. lol : )

Most babies are fussy with a blanket and do not like to be covered. Just like you can eat in public so can a baby with out being ashamed of it. or hiding his / her plate (boob). A baby does not poop in people's face just like you go to a bathroom a baby uses a diaper. People who find this disgusting or inappropriate have either no babies or very small brains so I guess it would be better that they don't have babies.

People are really horrible, aren't they?! I don't see why my baby has to eat in the dark, under a hot blanket where it's hard to breathe or out of sight without the social aspect of feeding. No one else is asked to do that - although I hope some of the commenters here are not exposing the public to their foul personalities.

I'm sorry but I see nothing wrong here and btw anybody who says I'd kick a nursing mom out of this place if I were the manager would be fired because It's the law that women can feed their children in public, why don't you take your dinner into a bathroom stall and eat it while someone blows up the stall next to you, babies of all people to eat in a bathroom with hardly an immune system?? I prefer to give my kids fresh milk, and artificial nipples like on bottles can make it difficult for a baby to go back and fourth between the two. I feel so sorry for you people who don't understand this, I mean yeah try to cover up but if you get a glimpse of some side boob who cares It's ok for someone with fake boobs to flaunt them in nearly nothing but a mother feeding a child is an abomination please I'm sorry that you can't accept how humans are supposed to feed their babies.
