& just for the record, wearing your tyre's to the edge does NOT define a good ride > that's a load of bull, there is so much more to riding + your aim is to keep as much of the Tyre on the road as possible, not to mention there are also major differences between street riding & track... this makes a huge difference on how your tyre's wear but does not define if you know how to ride ~ that's a fact

dude fz6r is a good price. you can buy some esthetic mods to make it look like a supersport and have super cheap insurace about 1/5 of the 600cc SS bikes

yes a new rider should get a 600.. i got one for my first.. 95 suzuki 600 and i did just fine.. taught myself.. if youre an idiot you dont belong on a bike in the first place.. hondas make the best 600s.. get an 04 or newer and you will be more than happy i have an 08 thank god!! screw the abs on the new ones.. advanced riding you need control of everything.

O by the way i never written a bike in my life so ,You can come to your owned conclusion

It is possible to buy a restricter kit for a 1000 though :S which will reduce the output of the bike. once you feel your ready for the power the bike has to offer you can then have the kit removed :O

I ride a 955i Sprint ST -- modded to RS spec so you can see part of the engine. 118 HP crank + maybe 5-8hp with race can (PowerMax). I love it. I have owned or ridden many low and high hp bikes over the years and the power of the triple on the road is best overall. Twins can be a handful with that immediate torque on slick roads you need to pay much more attention to throttle control. The Triple midrange is where most of us ride.
I also lost a tooth in front that helps too.

Hey how do you adapt to all the clutches man. My buddy gave me his R6 for a week when we went out of town and I was flipping between R6 and my gsxr-600 on alternate days and it so happens with the different clutch settings that I started popping off the clutch on my gixxer and eventually turning it off a few times.
How do you adapt ???

this is awesome, it's what a bikes review must be like cause lets face it about 90% of us don't go to the track often. this review applies to the reality of a much wider range of riders, the fact that he admittedly isn't a pro makes the review much richer in content at least for me.

none of those really matter when yourre talking about height because they're mostly the same height...it only dpends how long you ahve been riding a bike....start of with the 500 or 600 and if you been riding for a while then get a 1000 IF you want never start with a 1000

in 67 i bought my first car never riden a bike till 72 i rode my sister's son 350 yamaha n the acceleration to me was phenomenal compairing to the AJS 650 twin i had in the early 60s on riding pleasures the British bike was way infront Better more comfortable a stable ride sounding how a bike should, besides the brake n gear change are on the Wrong side bike riders are the ones i respect most on the roads, last time i was a pillion rider he had a kawasaki turbo Never again i Was Really scared

Since you seem to know a lot about bikes I'd like to ask you something...I'm about to buy a new bike, I was riding an Aprilia Rs50 (age 16-18, Switzerland)..All I seem to find are Yamaha YZF-R1 or Suzuki GSX. What I wanted to ask is which bike is better in average? Should be about 750 to 1000...Or do you have another suggestion? Btw I'm about 6,6" ;-)

at your height, there will not be many sportbikes out there that don't feel cramped. I personally favor Yamahas over suzukis. I just find them to be better to look at, more fun to drive, and the maintenance is easy to perform as everything tends to be designed to be super accessible. Just my opinion.
